Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. A glorious bit of machine this. Love the Frank London -> Terry Callier stretch especially, but looking forward to listening to the lot. And, by the way, your commentary is rarely mindless. Like your mixes, always involving and generous.

Thanks for going around & around the world to gather this together - it's an African disco zombie motown Teen Street invocation of whatchamacallit !

Hells yeah, dude! Really nice to see a mix from you around here. Always a breath of fresh air and inspiration to take things to the next level, as well. Great stuff.

Like Bufo said, this is next level shizzle. Gnome, you've raised the bar here. You move from one quality tune to another so smoothly and play such an incedibly diverse selection, at the same time making all these disparate tracks sound like they have something in common.Damn...I'm gonna hafta up my game...

Right on, I am a big fan of the Jaguares, so I might have to give their Taka-Taka primos a spin.

Well I think I know two more than Sammy, which of course makes me a better person ;) Your fine mixes and mindless commentary are always appreciated. The cover looks a bit like my 56K modem.

Its the mindless commentary that makes me come back here! Fantastic mix, Chris, as per usual. Loving the foreign sounds on this one.

Everything I've heard that you've added to the board has been extremely welcome, and this one makes me dust off the welcome mat as well.

Well this is certainly a sight for sore eyes. Glad to see Raymond Guiot and Sarolta Zalatnay making an appearance. And I sure do love that Terry Callier album...

Amazing but I think I can apply that to all your mixes. Sarolta Zalatnay, I know her after that things get a bit hazy....

...and a sound for sore ears too. guess you know your mixes are among my favorites around here, and this is one of your best (like all your others). that Hungarian opener made me hungry for more. other stand-outs include Arif Sag, Hercules & Love Affair, The Love Machine, Jaguars, Abdullah, Terry Callier, Johnnie Lee Willis and His Boys... I think my favorite is "Flutes Ad Libitum" and that transition from Frank London to Mahalia Jackson was sublime too, by the way. well mixed and much enjoyed!

Looks terrific, Chris. Sorry for the delayed response...the site's still either setting off a host of virus alarms, freezing my browser or giving me a wacky little tool-bar @ the bottom of the screen.
