Comment:

The title is purloined from an episode of Top Gear, where an endurance test to find the best used coupe available for 1500 quid results in a decrepit, thirsty, leaky old 1975 British Leyland Jaguar XJS (one of my favorites cars of all time) outliving a Mitsubishi Starion and a BMW 635i. Most of the tracks are from songs appearing briefly in the road tests, or from various car commercials or soundtrack thats that bring the same goofy smile to my face that I always have behind the wheel when I'm out driving with no agenda in mind; just driving for enjoyment and to put some miles under my feet.

Communists in Coventry -- Now that's comedy. Groovy mix, love the Simon & Garfunkel pick and it finishes with Helter Skelter -- now I'm just scared. Whatever happened to those nifty overdrive switches so prevalent in my youth?

I dig your mostly 60/70s vibe here (though, to me, it briefly steers into a ditch with the Foreigner cut).
