Comment:

This is one of two in the set. OK, there are four reasons I compiled these CDs right here and right now. (1). Like Musicgnome said, it snowed... well, IT SNOWED. So, aside from shoveling and drinking coffee what else does a boy have to do? (2). I have been meaning to do a 'skinny tie' CD for at least a year. 80's, pop, good feeling pop ditties. (3). There has been a wonderful rash of excellent 80's mixes here on AOTM in the last few weeks, and I just HAD to jump on the bandwagon, and (4). Jordon Oakes (of 'Yellow Pill's' fame) has just edited and released an exceptional 2CD set of PowerPop, "Yellow Pills: Prefill", remastered and released by the Numero Group. It Is A Keeper and it just got me hungry for more! Some of these are pretty obscure, and only a few of them were US hits... but they Should have been more well known, and they Should have been hits! So kiddies, it's Pow-Pow-PowerPop Time! (and yes, the ties are mine).

Skinny ties are the best. I hate this new trend with ties the width of freakin' tree trunks. Nice mix.

Haha, I didn't notice this when posting mine. Okay, so, I was just accessorizing. Nice collection you have hanging there.

These are great. I was planning on making a similar mix (mostly as a follow up to my collection of 70s pop, but you seem to have rendered my mix moot. If you're up for trading I'll shoot you an e-mail.

Not sure which of your power pop mixes is better -- guess I'll call it a tie! Great stuff! More power to ya.
