A mix I put together for a solo trip into NYC - record shopping (vacation continues!) A mixture of some more aggressive experimental artists. Thanks to LoFi for the Destroy All Monsters and Shawn Porter for the Vibracathedral tune.The Liars new album is fantastic...tribal, minimalistic, raw...awesome. F all those critics which dissed their last outing, btw. A few more comments, if I may...the new New York Noise Comp by the illustrious Soul Jazz Label is more essential underground no-wave. And, this particular track by Richard Young would HAVE to be in my Top 10 for '05.

Solo trips are often the best because it doesn't even come into play what anyone else could care about. Good for you. Have a loud time.
I couldn't agree with you more about Liars and those who put the dirt down on their last album - they just didn't get it! It was great, and the new album is pretty super too, though at the moment I like They Were Wrong better. Of course, I've spent a lot more time with it than I have with Drum's not Dead. Great mix, by the way.
Like the Lightning Bolt/ Swans pairing, and you've sold me on that Liars record I will investigate asap.
