Comment:

Forgive the horrible title of this mix -- I was young and stupid then (instead of old and stupid now). Anyway, full track-by-track liner notes available here, hosted by the Mixtape Wiki Section of Your Subculture Soundtrack.

Yeah, this is interesting. It was my relationship with Brave Combo that is the most responsible item for futhering my mixing "career." And as they were playing DJ's back in Dallas, a lot of this stuff was the true underground of the time. That Camper Van Beethoven slept on my living room floor, that Elvis told me he forgot the words to Tokyo Storm Warning at the Fuji Rock Festival, that XTC made an embarrassing remark about me in Dallas, and that Yumi Takada precedes I'll Be Your Jonny On The Spot - well, how can I not love this? How can I not be scared of this? For I was incredibly young and stupid and isn't that just dumb all over? Five stars for personal reasons.
