a real sonofabitch
Comment:
This was made in close proximity to "User Defragmentation", hence the repeat artists Pete York and Sheryl Crow. But then I wandered off, fairly heavily in the 'covers' department. The last track is because I had just taken a job in Baltimore. The title refers to the cover picture (look again). I like the Buggles a lot. Somebody needs to explain why to me.
Feedback:
God, I hate "practical" jokers. I like this mix though. You like Buggles a lot because of a mild seratonin deficiency in your brain. This was quite common in the 80s. Less so now. Clearly you have some residual failure of the poptasticular ventriculatory systems. May I suggest a course of wearing Tevor Horn's big, brightly coloured spectacles. About a week should suffice. Your friends and family will do the rest. Oh, and stop posting so many good mixes in such a short space of time. Nobody likes to be reminded of their inadequacies. And by "nobody" I mean me. Show some compassion for the old and withered.
Maybe I'm too young or un-hip to know some of the bands, but this is a tasty compilation and I may need to borrow some musicians from you.
good stuff hear (here).
Perhaps your love of the Buggles derives from the matchless joy of the seeing the Mongolian Olympics team march in the opening ceremony to the divine strains of "Video Killed The Radio Star." Not as delightful as Iran entering to "Funky Town," but surely a close second. Nice mix, too... can live without Sheryl Crow, but between breaking up with her boyfriend and being treated for breast cancer (yes, I keep up on all the important news), I can cut her some slack.
a nice one. that's a great opener.
Wonderful interpretation of the proper cover. You don't happen to have a cover of Tusk by Camper Van Beethoven. do you?
I love the Stone Roses tracks...
14-20 looks particularly great to me. Nice job.
Who doesn't love the Buggles?
