Comment:
Workin' on this one for some time now. The genesis of which I couldn't even begin to explain...Okay, here's the concept (buckle up)...combine spaghetti western soundtrack, middle east psychedelic, traditional islamic folk, traditional country, a bit of countrified rockabilly/hillbilly and a few obscuros...speckle with some favorite Eastwood Western Quotes...narrow down a list of tunes twice this size & work on the sequence for two weeks. And, all this to make a virtual soundtrack to a truly odd cinematic piece that never was. This has turned out to be one of my favorites, so far.
Either way, I hope you all enjoy!

Feedback:
musicgnome, this is incredible! I laughed out loud when I saw "Sand" tucked in there. I bet this is even better than I can imagine. nice work.
Christ this looks good. What i know I like. Great stuff, & great artwork.
Some groovy junk here. I'm guessing Palance is the "worse"...
And from his madness there came forth a jewel, whose lustre entranced all that beheld it.How may one comment an a fellow traveller's masterful creation. Such labour, such nuance, such meticulous preparation, such a wonder to behold. And there it is, in written form, with enticing yet infuriatingly small pictorial glimpses. Yes, how may one truly comment without hearing this precious thing, this tantalising lure. For shame...it's like having to view beauty through frosted glass. Thanks a lot. Now I'm sulking like a little girly girl. Hey, as long as you're happy...
I can literally hear this soundtrack coming through my screen... this looks like a crazy, culturally mashed-up and awesome ride. Early MOTW contender!
Bit of a sprawling epic you got going here! Full of eastern promise, and western promise and... ad infinitum.
Fun as hell - you can't go wrong with Ennio.
Holy shit!
:( No link?
o my god! I bow to you sir... now it's comin onto noon, & me & my camel gotta mosey outta town.
My eyes and ears are watering with lust for this gem. My mind, she is slightly blown. Really amazing.
Wow. This is one wicked trip. An all-out sensory attack. Very well done, Mr. Gnome.
Whoa Nellie Belle!
Epic! I'm adding this to the "original soundtracks" exhibit. I love your new cd printing technology by the way.
The Musicgnome kid rides into town & blows all opposition away! Love the inclusion of that brace from Vampyros Lesbos especially, what a soundtrack that is.
Holy shit--I'd love to hear this!
This looks an incredible mix!
Every mix I make is the soundtrack to a movie that never was. Man. 'Sand' and Morricone blowout... top.
Interesting as ever, good stuff!
Dude, you've seriously taken things to the next level. Fucking unbelievably great.
Paint the town Vermillion! You never fail to amaze and frighten me.
Damn! I was about to post this very same mix (though I did pick a different Mogollar song). Back to the drawing board...
Good Lords (Xibalba)! This am be lookin' pretty tastyriffic to the orbs rollin' in my sockets. Georges Garvarentz, Meic Stevens, Erkin Koray, Ramases & Selket...you're cherry-pickin'! (And I think Ion meant: MOE-gollar)
Still no download. Still no offer of a trade. Still a work of remarkable distinction. Stille nacht, heilige nacht -- what the f...
Oh, no! ANOTHER spaghetti western soundtrack, middle east psychedelic, traditional islamic folk, traditional country, a bit of countrified rockabilly/hillbilly and a few obscuros MIX!!! If I had a nickel for every spaghetti western soundtrack, middle east psychedelic, traditional islamic folk, traditional country, a bit of countrified rockabilly/hillbilly and a few obscuros mix I've seen, I'd have... well, maybe a nickel or so. This is really cool, gnome. The bits of dialog are cool, not to mention the tunes. I'd really like to hear this one. I have a feeling that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Dead Man's comment made me laugh, and I agree with him completely. This is stunning. I'm not sure I would have the patience for such a serious undertaking. It's admirable.
wicked but so great looking
excellent . . . . Dead Man's comment made me laugh too.I'd love to hear this one day too . . .
Holy Crap! To say this is top notch is an understatement!
Hey Chris, just wanted to let you know this outstanding creation is still getting mad play around here. The truest mark of a great mix.
