Comment:

Getting dumped by Melissa was like a swift kick to the nuts: It hurt right away. Really, really bad. I remember driving home bawling my eyes out. But then the pain went away very quickly. The next day, I woke up feeling perfectly fine, and I felt like that for a few weeks; but then the pain started coming back again, very slowly, until it became an agonizing dull ache that just sat in my abdomen. It's still there after all these months.
I originally made this mix with the full intention of actually giving it to her, preferably after a friendly cup of coffee. After listening to the CD and reading the enclosed note, she would preferably call me a apologize and tell me that she was sorry and she would be mine forever.
The preferable thing rarely happens. Heck, do any of us actually give these break-up mixes to the ex in question?
I had to share this mix with someone. It's the only mix I've ever made for somebody else that I listened to over and over. I love it.

No, I do not believe that "breakup Mixes" are ever given to the person "at issue". I don't believe that they should be, but I do believe that they can be 'soul aspirin' for the creator of the mix. This is an excellent mix. Excellent cover work. PS, it NEVER gets better. With time you remember less, but it always hurts.

Your comments are intensely personal and, consequently, all the more evocative. It's brave of you to share your feelings here. I thank you for it. I must commend you on track 16. A marvellous choice that is full of promise. I can see why you love this mix. Superb cover art rounds the whole thing off. This is what AOTM is really about. Little Spencer Boys is right, but the future can be a wonderful open road...
