Rougher Sewed
Comment:
My effort at recreating the feel/flavor of my favorite album of all time. Guesses?
Feedback:
You can't guess unless you hear it. For your downloading and listening pleasure!
No guesses? From this group? I'm shocked!!
Ok Clue 1---the Dylan song is a mild parody of the song it replaces.
Anyone?...Anyone?...Bueller?

I dunno, The Beatles? Pet Sounds? I suppose if I knew more of the songs I could give a better guess. Must be something good 'n' poppy.
"Rougher Sewed" is kinda awkward so it must be a clue (an anagram?). Maybe it's something like "Harder Spun" or "Tougher Stitched" or "Thicker Loomed" or "Durably Knit." Or maybe the anagram for "Rougher Sewed" is.... Grows Heedu? Sewer Dough?
Well at least I tried.
No wait! I've got it! Must be RUBBER SOUL!!!!

P.S. The Stealers Wheel song and "I'm Looking Through You" definitely have the same jangly vibe.
Cool. Saw it earlier and didn't guess it, but Doohickamabob's logic is flawless.
Doohickamabob, you are correct sir!! Well done.
By the way, One can never come close to Rubber Soul but this does have some of that vibe.

Great mix. Great to see the Aerovons, as they were first-rate Beatles plagiarists!
Now into the rotation, DiCarlo and looking forward to figuring this one out. I mean, Doohickamabob was solid on with the inspiration early on, but I am really interested interested interested into this interpretation.
Jonpoi, I originally started the mix attempting to match lyrical content/message as well as vibe. It's not impossible but it would have taken more time than I can put into it right now. I settled for the Rubber Soul feel/groove on a song by song basis.
Very cool. "Rubber Soul" ranks as one of my favorite albums too and, appropriately, this mix ranks as one of my favorite mixes.
Brilliant idea and fun mix. Kudos to Doohickamabob!
As usual, I've arrived too late to show off my detecting skills -- bah! You must take my word -- I knew that. Smashing stuff by the way. Very fabby.
Curtis the Burns has said all I could say, once again, about this gem! (Outstanding segues here DiCarlo!)
Great idea. A wonderful listen, thanks for the link.
