These, admittedly via a very loose nexus at times, are held together by 'Foreignness'. Generally, a reliance on a tongue other that English, but other things made the cut as well... an alien vibe (the yodeling in #1), an attraction to the 'foreign' (#19). And before you ask about #11... I know of few groups more alien.
