Comment:

One of the oddest mixes I've ever made...but also one of the most emotional and evocative for me. This is not exactly supposed to be a mix of "summer" songs...rather an entirely personal mix I made a few years back compiling songs that I enjoyed in one way or another during various important summers of my life. I don't really expect it to make sense to anyone but me. It's a bit of a trip to listen to, as I sequenced all the songs "autobiographically," according to when I came across them. A wonderfully evocative listening experience for me, as I have very specific memories associated with each song...I get the oddest sensations listening to this. (Some of these songs even remind me of staying in my air-conditioned house in 100+ degree heat.)
And yes, I realize Robbie Williams is loathed by many, but this song brings back a certain memory for me that I enjoy, so...

I like a lot of this stuff, particularly "Monastery"...

I'll also admit to liking Millenium. Hope you feel better after this cathartic release, Vinz!

Strange and oddly entertaining. Gotta give props for the inclusion of Subdivisions...a fine inclusion 7/8 music if there ever was one (yes I was in a Rush Cover Band...what's a high school bassist to do?)

Gotta echo Gobi on the Wreckless Eric comment! Also lovely to see Bis there, especially sandwiched between the Magnetic Fields and Divine Comedy picks. You can never go wrong with Talking Heads and Velvet Underground either.
