Summer Lady
Comment:
Originally a private mix, I won't be surprised if some people don't understand this blend. This was made for my sweetheart on Valentine's day. Ecclectic and yet delicious, like Mr. T cereal...Feedback:
What the hell is THIS? Max Werner (ouch!), Alphaville (oucher!) and Asia (ouchest!) mingling with the likes of Bobby Bland, Yma Sumac and Julie London (not to mention Sweet, Kaleidoscope and Blind Willie Johnson)? This must be either utter rubbish or a stroke of pure genius. I suspect the latter. . . .
The work of a Man's man.
Dizzying.
Thomas--thank you--I was hoping to get a European's opinion of Max Werner. I was thinking he was something like a Dutch Peter Cetera. Trust me--the Flippers are even cheesier. But this mix is an attempt to fit many personality traits in a sequence--you would grudgingly like it.
Well, I don't really know what to say . . . .
Julie is utterly amazing of course (she whispers in my ear, you know). I've always loved Sweet . . . . and then I see Asia ! Thomas has hit the nail on the head . . . ditto Thomas!

Well I can attest to the genius of this mix. I understood it was genius during myfirst listen, but the sheer magnitude of it slwly manifests itself. The Asia is a nod to something I had said much earlier, and if you culd hear the mix you would hear how masterfully it is blended with stuff that I would never hear on my own.
I love the Fall-outs and Blind Willie Johnson tracks.
I had no idea this was actually THEEE or rather DIE Flippers! Holy cow, you must be some seriously sick bastard! ;)
I dig the Monroes into Sweet Transition and love the FallOuts pick as well.
