Comment:

this mix is about me and my ex boyfriend. songs 1-10 express mostly positive reminiscent messages, starting with the KT Tunstall song (which in case you haven't noticed has been my jam lately) that says "no, you're not the one for me" in a cheery tone. #2 describes all the things that my current boyfriend does ("does he lay awake listening to your breath? Worried that you smoke too many cigarettes."), and compared my current boyfriend to my ex.

11-14 are all songs I listened to while dating him. it goes from the kinks singing a very happy, upbeat tune, thanking an ex lover for the times that they have had, then cuts to #11, which starts with the sounds of women moaning, and goes into lyrics about how women are not real people, etc. #12 is especially relevant because it talks about having a baby, which is currently something my ex boyfriend posesses. oh condoms.

#15 and on are all slower, sadder, or angry songs about breakup. I usually do dylan justice and put down the original versions of his songs, but Baez in my opinion is just so much more emotional in this version. The mix ends like it started, only #21 is a lot sadder and hopeless, and #22 is a more tired, worn out version of its polished cousin.

anyway, thats it guys. this mix is personal, but I decided to share it...maybe you can find something you like from it!

wow... this is a great mix, made greater still by the notes that really puts all in context. You go many places here, a great ride if not always an easy one. I have never heard the #15 version...
