The Psychedelic Rock Tumbler: Excursions - Eat of the Forbidden Fruit
Comment:
An extension of the series into thematic territory.Gen 3:22 - And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:Unless we assimilate or consume knowledge from the tree of life, that is Jesus Christ, and live for ever.See Track 1. Yum!Compilation Notes: Selections, which were mouth watering and quite juicy, but there was no room left in the bowl: Sweet Cherry, The Applejacks, Strawberry Path, Cherry People, Grapes of Wrath and The Blueberries.

Feedback:
Looks fucking awsome my friend. At least I know some artists here this time..lol
This is freaking fantastic, Chris. Currently involved in a tense game of online poker and this will be the soundtrack to it for the next hour. Cheers. And, blow me if that's not a track by 1910 Fruitgum co that ISN'T Simon Says I see here. Fantastic.
*sniffing, as one should any fruit upon purchase* Ahhhhh, the sweet smell of a successful theme mix. Bravo.
I'm utterly gobsmacked every time I see whats on your Psychedlic Rock Tumbler comps. The artists I know are great and the others I try to researh. This top notch stuff!!!
LOL - nuttier than a fruitcake. Great stuff coming out of the tumbler.
If only they made edible, writeable CD's. Oh well, I can always lick my computer screen.
Mmm... dusty.
Mmm... dusty.
Good and good for you!
Whoa! I'm looking forward to hearing this, as this could be one of my favorites in this series.
Fantastic as always. I'm downloading as I write... and the pictures in my head are already being formed by all the psychedelic goodness.
Outstanding. Only one omission comes to mind: The Electric Banana, the side project of the Pretty Things, which had some outstanding psychedelic moments. Alas, all is out of print.
After careful review of Sammy's Feedback. I have never been SO happy to have chosen a track OTHER THAN "Simon Says" by the 1910 Fruitgum Company. ;)
Could you include Sam Shepard with Lothar and the Hand People on the next volume? Well, maybe that's grass talking.....tangents.....hand to mouth, hand to mouth.
Too much of a good thing? This one was so good it gave me a stomachache!
Hand-picked by a careful cultivator. A conneiseur of the fruits of the mind. A tip o' the helmet amigo...
Thank you for the FRUIT of your labor! This looks most-excellent.
Most excellent in deed Mr. Gnome...you should come back, the door is open & then I won't miss yr mixes ;)
I gave the DL a listen and totally dug it. My favorites: Strawbery Alarm Clock, Lemon Fog, the "orange" cover of Traffic, and FF&PT. Great job exploring that era, and cool idea to base it on fruit. Keep up the great mixes.
Geez, this whole series has been amazing. I do hope someone is putting them in an exhibit.
"The Lemon Sandwich"--you KNOW that they're gonna be good...
The Lime! You are a connoisseur indeed. Please get "Soul Kitchen" and/or "Beautiful Day" into play, if you can.
