Guilty Pleasures
Comment:
I think, now and again you need a break from credible music. I was going to make a Roy Harper type credible folk music mix - but then couldn't be bothered. Maybe next time...I actually saw T'Pau live about 5 years ago, they played a local pub round here, it was ú2 to get in.
Apologies to those people I owe cds, they will be on their way as soon as I fix that part of my computer. Sorry! I could throw in a copy of this one if you want... no?
Feedback:
I'd agree that Laura Branigan, the Knack and the Dream Academy made some incredible music.
1,3,5,8,17 are GP's for me too and 18 are wondeful
These are guilty pleasures? You must be out of your brilliant mind..
I see why you said so, but in a perfect world, U2, T'Pau, Dream Academy, Ocean Colour Scene, Whitesnake, Cutting Crew, and many others would NOT be resigned to guilty pleasure status. They would be hailed for their greatness. In other words, what sammyg123 said
I love these guilty pleasures mixes . . . not sure that I am brave enough to do my own yet. Some of these are absolute classics . . . . and isn't Carol Decker (T'Pau) tiny . . .
I like these mixes. We all have our guilty pleasures... and we're all drawn to look at others.
Bravo! And, if I might -- hussah!
I'll agree with you on T'Pau (file Heart's 'Alone' in the same type of gp), but you don't need to feel bad about Furniture!
I must admit, I'm rather confused by the entire concept of a guilty musical pleasure. I mean, it's not the Knack raises your cholesterol, or Whitesnake violates the Kyoto agreement, or Clayhill goose women on the train. On the other hand, every time you listne to Lynyrd Skynyrd, God kills a kitten.
