Comment:
You know that feeling when you type a word into Itunes, and the results are so good you have to make a playlist right there?Feedback:
well I don't have iTunes or an iPod (last man standing ?) so not sure that I do know that feeling . . . . however, I love what is going on here . . .
you struck gold with this one. i've been sorting through Julie London tunes all day.
6, 11, and 20 are some favorites of mine.
I used to do this with CDDB, until Gracenote went and "improved" it so that service is now useless for that function. But this points out the genius of the suits at Apple. While the record company weasels are whining about no one buying their overpriced CDs (where the majority of the price goes into their pockets), Apple has figured out a way to get you to pay $19.80 for one that they don't even have to physically produce. Brilliant! Oh, and excellent mix, thought I might have included Nicolette Larson's version of Daddy, which I don't believe is included in iTunes.
Aha - but I meant Itunes the software, not the store - luckily I already had these tracks, and it didn't cost me a dime! (But you're right - I don't do this on the store, otherwise I can already imagine the mixes I'd get... "hey, I can buy 30 versions of Watermelon Man!"
Great to see Mr. Creamer on here again, though I will disagree with his recommendation Nicolette Larson. I am not big on these kind of mixes (especially in the age of media libraries), but this one looks really well done.
