Comment:

This is just random, in a non-random sorta way. See it started with the Lightning Seeds. SammyG put this ("Pure")on a recent mix (Merseyside), and I was blown away remembering how good they are (and this song is). But when I went to get the CD, World Party was in the case... so I found World Party, but Rod Stewart was in That case, so I found Rod Stewart but David Lindley was in there and then finally... in the Lindley CD box, there was the Lightning Seeds. I can understand the requirements of fate and they are all on this CD.
They have just released the American mixes of the Beatles albums. This shouldn't be a big deal. They really are not the 'right' mixes, but, it's the music I had growing up (and each disc has both the stereo and mono mixes (yummy) on them. On "Help", however, there was a lot of filler that caused massive flashback... like the 10 second lead in with the brass & Indian instrumentation... So gotta add the Beatles. This led to a few Beatles covers, which made me want to add a few Who covers so I used the Who covering The Stones as a Transition to the aforementioned Who Covers... (and that Petra Haden acapella recreation of The Who "Sell Out" is a labor of love!)
The last 10 or so are fairly new discoveries, or newly discovered old favorites... Ended up pretty tasty, at least Marvin the Martian thinks so. Hope you do too.

Haha, well I'm glad I inspired such a quirky mix. Some great tunes on here. It looks like a good listen. No idea who Susanna Huff is though Artie, but I like the name.

Nice selections. Especially like your two Ditty Bops selections - There's a Girl is great!
