Comment:

ummmmm... here's one I've been sitting on for a while now. decided to pick it up again today...kind of feels like this might be a steady summer jam for me, as it's mostly filled with stuff I've been seriously been grooving on the last month or two. [hole-eee shit, that new bardo pond is soooooo beautiful]. Oh yeah, Twin "Different Drums" as bookends, the first is off of the dream collaboration (for me, anyways) of Sweet and Hoffs. The second is thanks to one, Rob Conroy. This song has drilled its way into my skull once again. heh.

Looks wonderful, Shawn, as always. I must check out the Sweet / Hoffs album - I love the Stereolab the end stretch from Pink Mountaintops. From your notes, I think you've got the right sort of vibe going on here too!

This is fuckin' brilliant, my friend. Count me in for a copy. And you're welcome re: re-awakening your appreciation for that killer Lemonheads cover. I esp love the 'heads, Ghostface, Pink Mountaintops (that's close to being my favorite song of the year), Holly, Shocking Bue, Raconteurs, ZZ Top (!) and Stereolab tracks.

Steady summer jam? It would suit sun-baked London right now I bet.

This looks great . . . summer jams are definitely where my mind is at recently . . . . loving the Pink Mountaintops of late . . . . and I'm going to dig out some vintage ZZ Top in a minute - well overdue on my part. Fun !

Wonderful to see another Shawn Porter installment. Far too many gems to comment on, but must say that holly g. into pink m. is quite inspired.
