Tape 127 - Banks and Borders
Comment:
Hello. The not-very-enigmatic title works in oh so many amazing ways. The banks refer to my ongoing lack of money situation, but also the fact that I went to London yesterday and listened to this tape on the banks of the Thames - the South Bank, in fact. The 'Borders' aspect of the tape refers to my new job in Borders which starts in er.. 48 hours, which makes the other 'borders' reference, which is the fact I'm currently on the wrong side of the Wales/England border to that which I need to be to start my job. As usual this mix features some latest pop hits, some indie credibility, and emo tosh which nobody apart from me ever seems to have the time of day for round here. Thanks to Neil for the palace, silver jews and sonic youth tracks.Feedback:
ok, i just saw your latest mix and meant to leave a comment because i think it's awesome but then again it's a break up mix and i'm never quite sure what to say to people i don't know when things like that happen, not that i wouldn't feel sorry or anything, it's just that i'm not too good at expressing these feelings. anyway, this is a great mix also; plus you get 500 extra points for putting all your mixes on tape (minus said break up mix, which is on cd). i actually can't believe, i didn't see them on aotm earlier... surely one thing i've missed so far.
