Comment:

this is a mixtape i made for a friend. i put it up for download because it is pretty heavily blended and the tracklist can't show that.

a few bands are up there multiple times but they all only have one full song each, the other songs just worked well to transition. i didn't chop up songs, i just put them ontop of eachother (except universe which is continued from side a to side b, but the whole song is there.) it jumps around a lot and probably deserves headphones. this is the first mix i have done like this also.

download track one for side a and track seventeen for side b

(i think the tracklist is right, but i mixed it in wavepad and can no longer see what tracks are on it.)

Fantastic! This is the first mix like this, blended tracks and whatnot, that I've heard on this site, and I loved it. I especially thought that the Fitzgerald and Sufjan stuff fit really well. Great job.

i really appreciate the listen and comments. i wasn't sure if it was something others could get into as much as i did while making it. so i was anxious for some feedback, thanks.

I was awaiting a thorough listen prior to commenting, and now AOTM is being a pain in the ass, so this will be in pieces. (Sorry for spamming)

First, you're mixing is simply incredible! Tracks 7 through 13 are, well, maybe the best blended tracks these ears have EVER heard. AMAZING job done, here. If I may, what software do you utilize, cause I'm absolutely stunned?

You mentioned WavePad, but I'm entirely too dense to know what that means.Okay, now, for track selection: it's like you picked a best of list of recent artists I was too foolish to not think of combining. This is one of those mixes, which might change the way I think of putting together mixed genre mixes.

And, lastly, sequencing: HOLY F! First off you doubling up on artist tracks = fantastic. The use of snippets, here and there = AMAZING. And, the spectrum of flavors you provide makes for a musical feast. So, there it is, the longest (probably most rambling) review of a mix I have ever submitted.HIGHEST MARKS!!!!!!!!!!!

wow, thanks so much! wavepad is a free download i got from download.com. it's really basic and at first seems like it wouldn't work so well because once you start mixing you can't turn back without taking the entire mix apart. i have found a couple things that work for me, if you start using it let me know and i will try and help out (or if you have something better i would trade for a copy.) again thanks so much for your kind words, i am really glad you could get into it.
