This mix is a reworking of an earlier mix. I tried to focus on the period of music where Latino Deep Soul, Psychedelic and Garage Rock started to rub against each other. The link is for a download of the entire mix. (You send it Download link is fresh as of 06/29/06)Feedback:
Sweet! Thanks for the download.
I don't know a thing on this but your description sounds great.
Nasty barrio beats with big hairy balls. Bravo amigo.
Beautiful. Look forward to hearing this at home.
What a great listen! A genre I need to delve more deeply into.
I've not heard a single thing here, but I'll be giving it a listen with EXTREME interest... this is exactly the kind of thing that I'm looking for to expand my knowledge/awareness...
Whoa, this is quite something. It's all unfamiliar to me but I'm definitely jumping on that download. The prospect of a new genre excited me greatly!
Great stuff. That is one funky version of "Get Out of My Life Woman"!
I agree with Mr A-Go Go re: 'Get Out Of My Life Woman'. The rest is just as excellent. Cal Tjader, The premiers, Johnny Colon etc Fine & Funky stuff. Cheers for the link
Congrats Windmill. Completely agree. Will be playing in the office throughout the day. And, for that, I thank you.
This door swings wide and I not may not be able to cross over. But,I hope you take the time make the best of this great honor and fulfilling the heart of your wonderful co-mixers.Recognition is an importatant part of being the best mixer you can be...Well done and congratulations!
Congratulations. Thoroughly enjoyable mix and an excellent cover.
Awesome stuff. Downloaded this a few days ago and have been meaning to check it out. Loved every minute!
Wow...total shock!!! Thanks to Mark Petruccelli for the motw selection. I appreciate all you guys/gals for checking out my mix and all the positive comments.
Congratulations windmillhdc!!!!! Great looking mix! (The lonk has expired. Sniffle.)
Yes, this looks wonderful, from top to bottom. Great job and, yes, congrats! Dig the cover, too.
This genre is a bit of an achilles heel for me, I really dont know enough about it ( a re-upload would be nice hint hint) There aint no doubting your mixing ability and versatility however so congrats on the weekly honours.
Re-uploaded and ready to be downloaded!
Congrats & thanx to Mark for what could have been an overlooked gem. I'm just starting to dip into the Latin end of the fuzz/soul pool so the d/l is well appreciated.
Siobhan's already said it all for me, congrats on the motw accolade.
Fabulous mix & a worthy recipient of the MOTW accolade!
i am loving this mix, nice work!
downloaded it and loved it - good job - I sense some exploring coming on! Thanks for the link!
nice mix
Bloody marvellous Riley! Just when I thought I knew it all this hits my ears and I realize that music is infinite, there are genres, sub genres, micro genres out there to be explored and if I lived to be 100 years old and listened to music 24/7 i'd still miss something wonderful. Thanks for plugging this gap and whetting my appetite for more. As worthy a MotW as i've seen in a long time.
::does the Watusi Boogaloo:: Freakin' AWESOME! Congratulations on a great mix and getting props for it!
Wow, lookin' forward to this. My favorite genres and artists you got here, and a few I've never heard of. Congrats!
I can't wait to listen to it. It sounds really really interesting. Mark did a great job choosing an excellent and deserving pick of the week!
