Comment:

This mix is part of a summer-long series dedicated to everyone at AOTM, but to a few mixers in particular. The NLA was born out of both a lark and an attempt to diversify listening habits and mixing formulae. The mixers named in this series are those who continue to inspire us, who've helped us abandon (somewhat) our musical prejudices and open our ears to a multitude of new sounds. We hope this series is a two-way street, of course, and that these mixes have a similar affect on their subjects, inspiring THEM to keep up their excellent mixing. Not sure if this does justice to the mixer, but this is our ol' college try.

Nice. I've been giving that Lee Hazlewood comp some heavy rotation at casa Dali lately. Looks suitably lush and complex.

I admit the one you made for Musicgnome was a bit challenging for my ears, but this one is really doing it for me. The Chinese piece is really beautiful, and I like the overall mmod of the mix. Definitely one that I will listen to many more times.

Deeply gratifying - love the way your tributes act as extensions of each mixer's modus operandi - great to hear Bjork sing 'straight' as well.Hugs all round!

This is just a bit gorgeous lads (listening via headphones right now). The New Lief Chameleons have 'done it again'. Smooth segues & a top flight mix all around.

Brilliant, beautiful mix. That Bjork coupling with the Brodsky Quartet is, in a word, amazing. Love track 7 and the ending to this mix is really really great. Another superb tribute! You guys are on a roll.

Love the Tavener and Ute things, which is all I know but I'll wager that the rest is worth a listen too. Like Jimmy Webb's boys telling us about Phaedra, and how she gave me life,
and how she made it end.

A very diverse mix that from reading it would jump all over the place but has a really great flow to it. Great job to all concerned.
