Comment:

Hey all. This one's been sitting around the hd for a while and finally decided to come together this week. Tons of stuff that's been turning my crank these days. Holy fucking crap, I love that Black Mountain track, by the way. and thanks to lo-fi jr. for turning me on to the psychedelic greatness that is Plastic Crimewave Sound. link in first track.

plastic crimewave sound... i've got to check this out. critical acclaim: top notch - the advent of Shawn Porter Mixing Enterprises marks a watershed for the musical community... future mixers worldwide will come to know this product as the industry's standard of excellence... remembering always that it's not about who you know, it's about who you listen to.

Sounds great - thanks for the link! In fact I'm enjoying the black mountain right now.
I'm pretty sure I hung out in Busse Woods (Schaumburg, IL?) a few times in my younger days -just like ACID KING!!

Fantastic lookin' mix. Love the title too. In my head Shawn Porter = Black Mountain, and that's probably a good thing.

Looks absolutely gorgeous, as ever, Shawn; always good to see a mix from you. Really liking the inclusion of the Black Keys and Charalambides - oh, and the Twilight Singers too.

Just doing my job. I've been wanting to revisit some Soundgarden recently. Busse Woods is near where I grew up in Elk Grove Village. Back then it rivalled the parking lot at a Dead show for, uh, "merchandise". Now it's a bike trail that I frequent with my son. Another one of life's ironies.

All things related to Black Mountain seems to gold lately. Very cool mox. Love that folkish stuff especially - 4 to 6 is a beautiful stretch.

Nice closing trio. And I'm sure you weren't expecting this to turn into a "busse woods" comments fest, but I went to daycamp in Busse Woods.
