Comment:
Hey all. This one's been sitting around the hd for a while and finally decided to come together this week. Tons of stuff that's been turning my crank these days. Holy fucking crap, I love that Black Mountain track, by the way. and thanks to lo-fi jr. for turning me on to the psychedelic greatness that is Plastic Crimewave Sound. link in first track.Feedback:
plastic crimewave sound... i've got to check this out. critical acclaim: top notch - the advent of Shawn Porter Mixing Enterprises marks a watershed for the musical community... future mixers worldwide will come to know this product as the industry's standard of excellence... remembering always that it's not about who you know, it's about who you listen to.
Sounds great - thanks for the link! In fact I'm enjoying the black mountain right now.
I'm pretty sure I hung out in Busse Woods (Schaumburg, IL?) a few times in my younger days -just like ACID KING!!

Fantastic lookin' mix. Love the title too. In my head Shawn Porter = Black Mountain, and that's probably a good thing.
Fuck YES. Geniusly twisted beauty, my friend.
Looks absolutely gorgeous, as ever, Shawn; always good to see a mix from you. Really liking the inclusion of the Black Keys and Charalambides - oh, and the Twilight Singers too.
Can't wait to listen to this!
Fantastic stuff!
Holy moly this is good!
Downloading now...Damn my obsession with cover art...must see a doctor about that -- in the meantime, here's what I'm using to adorn my copy -- (image is a 1933 mg supercharger)-
This looks great. Be listenin' shortly.
Killer mix. Thanks for the link. I agree with you re: The Black Mountain track. Especially enjoyed The Twilight Singers, Espers & Plastic Crimewave Sounds tks also.
Wicked cool Shawn! (That Black Mountain's been playing here quite a bit lately, too.)
Lubbly Jubbly - Black Mountain are always welcome chez Gobi. Thanks for the link (I wish I could do that). Just enjoying this as I type (my mind is rambling).Killer cuts!
Just doing my job. I've been wanting to revisit some Soundgarden recently. Busse Woods is near where I grew up in Elk Grove Village. Back then it rivalled the parking lot at a Dead show for, uh, "merchandise". Now it's a bike trail that I frequent with my son. Another one of life's ironies.
All things related to Black Mountain seems to gold lately. Very cool mox. Love that folkish stuff especially - 4 to 6 is a beautiful stretch.
I pretty much love every pick here. Great stuff.
Freakin' awesome. I gotta ditto Barry... I love everything here. How great is the new Charalambides album, huh? So beautiful. Very nice mix, Shawn.
Cool. I never realized you were that old.
Nice closing trio. And I'm sure you weren't expecting this to turn into a "busse woods" comments fest, but I went to daycamp in Busse Woods.
Great listen, yhx for the link. Must hear more Black Mountain and PCS.
