Comment:

I was trying for a mostly light and breezy sound, although it does have mournful undertones. It's a bit ethereal near the beginning, slightly darker toward the end, and laced with strings and horns throughout. The New Pornographers and Bright Eyes inject a bit of carnival-like instrumentation (their two songs feel something like Blonde on Blonde-era Dylan to me). The mix title is due to my misunderstanding for a while the first line of Draft Morning.
