Comment:
A personal summoning of the fluctuations in my cd collection from the last 24 months, with a distinct but oh how exquisite ME tendency to it. Orient Expressions pay kurdish singer Aynur a well owned tribute, ska icone Terry Hall's cooperation with Mushtaq and Damon Albarn (that mad Brit who went to Mali, you'd have expected him to be involved in something like The Hours of two lights), Feidman without the yiddish vocals this time, via the ethiopian jazz legend Astatke (yes yes, the Broken Flowers soundtrack, his songs aren't available on cd otherwise) and Berlin producer Rhythm & Sound until, finally wrapping it up; Belkis +zener 70's soundtrack (which makes all of my turkish friends go weteyed and more than sentimental).Feedback:
looks good bt.
Can't say I'm overly familiar with much on here, but the pan-cultural puddlejumping looks fun!
