Comment:
To me, the best of the American Recordings, 4 volumes plus bootlegs. I kind of spaced it as a deathbed journey. Starting out humbled, going back to his youth, a train song and a western, a young man on his own then going to a troublemaker, a troubled soul looking for redemption. Finding peace and then acceptance. Ending with Danny Boy. The ultimate funeral songFeedback:
the american recordings have never been my favorite from johnny cash, but nevertheless i've collected them all & certainly do enjoy them. this is a pretty good primer of the best of the series. looks great.
i thought the american recordings were definately the high point, but i love most. nice journey.
