TEEN DANCE TIME : xmas sampler 2005
Comment:
2005 has been a wonderful, but very busy and wacky year for me. at the time of making the tape (er, uh, CD) i didnt have anything fun or insightful to say. just a recap of my year: moved to echo park with my wonderful girlfriend, Rebecca. Started a huge career boost at WB Online, finished producing a film and creating the soundtrack for "FAQS", left WB, went to E! the gossip channel, went back to WB, left WB, and then set up permanent shop at E! again. in between there went to 4 weddings to very good friends and family, Started and finished music supervision on an awesome documentary called STUNTWOOD, - - - and due to the smart pro-active gal named Rebecca, got engaged. She proposed to me on October 29th, and since i've felt like the prettiest girl at the prom since.XOXO
G!
ANYWAY - since i didnt have anything insightful to say i let someone else speak for once:
"There was a mix tape I made when I was 15, I believe in order to get a girl to like me, because that is generally why you make mix tapes when you're 15. I had a tape deck that allowed you to record right and left channels separately, so I played dueling DJs, debating the merits of each track and informing my other self of its importance, lineage, and general all-around alreet-ness. I was into words like that then. I don't know what happened to that tape, it's gone, like the two of me that were on that tape. While the tape was a minor success I had an itching feeling I had made a grave error. Later, I realized I had compromised myself by putting a The The track on there, because she liked them. I did not, and to this day, I wish I could go back and replace that track. I still remember this misstep vividly. I wasn't true to myself, and as much as the tape was filled with my chattering, my enthusiasm, my soda-fueled proselytizing, it still rang as hollow as the empty cans beside me. So, I'm taking this chance to say sorry, to me. Her? It was her favorite track."

Feedback:
Not what I was expecting, but quite cheeky. In a good way. And you get like a zillion cool points for Banjo & Sullivan. Also congrats on all your success professionally and romantically - we should all be so blessed
