...or in this case, a four year old. i had my son Noah go thru my cds and randomly pick some out (he got to 18, then got bored) - then he got to point to the songs he wanted. i took them and put 'em on plastic. i was going to try and arrange them in some kind of order, then decided it would be more fun to just put them on just as he gave them to me. it turned out pretty good, except for a few jarring transitions. next time, i'm going to try and get him away from picking groups of cds (you can see by the artists, he started in g, then went to u, and so on). anyone with kids should give this a try, it gets them involved with our obses...er, hobby. of course, it was easy with Noah - when he was born he was subjected to mr. lally's tremendous surf discs, then got schooled in the ramones - it's been a fun ride since then...Feedback:

Fun experiment and interesting results. Although I have learned the hard way to keep my discs away from my 4 year old after finding rabbits (I think) drawn on my Joy Division Closer CD! I remember as a kid waking up one Sunday morning to the the sound of my Dad shouting Oh F**k at the top of his voice, a very rare occurence it must be said. I dashed down the stairs to see what abomination had prompted this profanity and found my 4 year old brother absolutely surrounded by my dads precious vinyl, crayons in hand and a smile on his face. I laughed my ass off and only in hindsight do I now see just how heart breaking that was for poor Mr Dali Snr. Anyway I'll get off the couch now my time is surely up Dr. Keep up the education, Noah will thank you for it in the long run.
