Comment:

i made this for my friend zak. all of the songs are either references to things we have jokes about or things i want him to know. that's the hardest kind of mix to make, i think, because there are things that needed to be on it that don't go with my usual flow - i'm not a big ben folds fan, for example, but that song has to be on here for obvious reasons. and he teases me about being a displaced canadian girl so obviously had to add that. things like that change the dynamic of mixing for me but i worked on this for 4 days and i'm pretty proud of how it is turning out. i'm still not quite sure of the flow in parts but i thought i'd post anyway and see if anyone has any brilliant suggestions.

important point that became much clearer to me in the making of this mix - how obvious is it that i have fallen for this "friend" from a great height? i am too old to have crushes like this but i tried not to be my overly subtle self. i ended it with what i think is one of the most romantic songs ever written - we'll see if he gets the hint. ;)

Very nice, particularly the Ohia, Ladybug, Waits, Nick, and almighty Mountain Goats picks.
