Here's the thing - I spend a lot more time making what I consider carefully crafted, thematic,"concept" mixes, but the ones that are usually best received, at home & abroad, are these stupid sloppy bar-room belter bluesy goodtime shout-out primitive party numbers, that I slap together without thinking twice . . .
So okay, then! let's give the people what they want!
(truth be told, I like this kind the best too )
Shootie Bootie!!!!!

Really, really great. This is my favorite type of the mixes that you compile.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat!
killer stuff.
I'm a young rooster, too! Why do you rock so, Joey?
What I know, I like. But there's so much on this that I don't know. Any chance for a link? And it's hard not to like the bar-room belters.
looks great joey. i'm constantly surprised when a mix like this comes up where i have most of the artists, but not 1 of the tunes?? how can that happen? still, a great education.
Mon ami you constantly bring a smile to my face & for that I thank you sooo much.
I echo Frenchie's statements. A Joey De Vivre mix always brings a smile to my face. ps Did you get my instructions?
I like both varieties. And, this is wonderful. Really great stuff. And...H-Bomb Ferguson :)
All JDV mixes should be cherished, me thinks. What would AOTM be without ya?
Joey - "stupid sloppy bar-room belter bluesy goodtime shout-out primitive party numbers" sounds like an outstanding theme to me.
Why deny who you are, what you love, and what you do best!? Slop it! Slap it! Belt it!
Put me in the line-not just eching, but shouting what Moe, Mixxer, and NoV all said!!!
Hmm, "eching"....do not look that up. I meant "echoing". Danged phalanges.
I like both kinds of mixes too, but you do indeed put out some pretty amazing "bar-room belter bluesy goodtime shout-out primitive party numbers." stupid? sloppy? naah. lots of Scoobie snacks here.
It's all in the mix. And while some mixes are created with blood, sweat and tears, some (and the best imho) come fram the zen of the moment. bravo.
Of course! It's hard to get some to sit still, isn't it? So, if someone asks you to dance, remember that only a fool would dance, yet only a fool would refuse. So you might as well dance. Keep slappin'.
