My wife and I are about to have a baby boy on Tuesday: Xavier Jack.

Two weeks before his birth, I asked all our family and friends to come up with one song that they'd like to contribute to a mix-cd in his honor. It could be their favorite song, a tune by an artist they like or a song with a great message.

By doing this, I hope he'll be exposed to different types of music and, more importantly, establish a life-long bond with each person who contributed.

I tried to arrange this mix as a journey through life...from birth to maturity.
