Comment:
A genre that doesn't get enough attention these days, IMHO, is the loud music genre. Loud music (loud but melodic, as opposed to loud and screaming) plays an integral part in our lives. It wakes us up in the morning. It psyches you up for whatever atheltic event you... need to be psyched up for. It makes you just a little bit more awake. I make no bones about these songs being perfect in their own rite (although Master of Puppets, is pretty great), but put 'em all together, and (most importantly) crank up the volume, and your day will just be that much more energized. With that in mind, I've named the list after my favorite energy beverage - well, second favorite, but "Rock Star" sounded a bit too cheesy.Feedback:
loud and screaming is just as important, if not more important, than loud and melodic. loud and melodic gets plenty of attention, which is kind of sad.
I disagree. I'm not a huge fan of hardcore punk (as an example of the screaming genre). And, as far as loud and screaming goes, I count 6 songs up there that have flat out screaming in them. I don't like music that limits itself to that, is what I'm saying.
