Comment:
I put this one together as a companion to Real Music (as opposed to beepy crap that only Faulkneresque manchildren could like), which was for my Faulkneresque manchild of a lover. I knew he'd never touch my mix, it being full of Mississippi Delta Blues and other such genres that are diametrically opposed to electronic music. So I decided to make a mix of stuff I like that sounds vaguely comparable to his taste in music.Feedback:
Despite my enthusiastic agreement with the sentiment of the two mix titles, I think I prefer this one. Don't get me wrong, I generally despise electronica, but you did a good job here of culling together some quality music that isn't too far removed. Also, forgive me, but I'm another one of those odd types that has trouble getting into classic blues music. Great job on both mixes, nonetheless.
caddy hit. nice mix.
you cannot go wrong with digable planets. ever.
Loving the beepiness in this mix.
I dig this (so I guess that makes me a manchild?) extra props for the Streets track.
