Comment:

Some of 2006's finer, albeit darker fare.

Well, that Machinefabriek track alone is fantastic enough to make me declare this my favourite end-of-year mix. The rest looks really really good too, and there's quite a few things here that I haven't heard, so I'm looking forward to giving this one a listen.

I've been hearing nothing but praise for that Hecker album... Ireally need to check it out. Really interesting 2006 mix... will be listening to on the way to work.

Very interesting - what I know of this is absolutely top-notch, so I look forward to hearing the rest. It will have to wait until I get home, however - effing work...

Oh my my. I clearly have not been listening to enough new music. Thank goodness for people like you, mg, to keep me on the right track! I'm dl-ing and will listen posthaste!

Looks like you put that Sam Goody gift certificate you got for Christmas to good use. I guess Justin Timberlake just missed the cut. Does my attempt at humor disguise the fact that I'm not familiar with any of this?

Understandable, given the times, a series of darker elements would be cast out among us by artists. Whether as personal statement of their own life or the world around them it makes sense. I'm unenlightened on most of the artists included though I'd believe it to be a listeneable mix anyway.

2006 was a great year. (Not that I know these particular songs.)

Christ, so much of this passed me by in 2006. Can always count on the Mighty Gnome to fill the blanks. Looks fantsatic mate..

superb. I'm rather lost w/o individual tracks, but the opener is a winner, as is the Burial track and, best of all, the Liars. also really liked something 'round about 34 mins w/ lots of cool sounds that had me checking to see if my computer was coming unplugged, and another at an hour +3 mins w/ lots of electrical buzzing and some cool... saxophone? had only heard the Scott Walker before; thanks for sharing it. looking forward to your mixes of '07.

Absolutely no nothing here 'cept the Scott Walker. Judging by the mathematical instrument on the cover, I've the feeling this might be too complicated a listen for my simplistic ears but knowing much of what has gone before on your mixes I'll wager it's a fine effort.

That Knife track was also one of my favorite tracks of the year. Good stuff.
