Comment:

Looking at Hoyt's rhinestone belt and embroidered western shirt, it was not immediately obvious that he was actually a very sophisticated guy. He had a little import business in Sacramento specialising in shoes and every January he travelled to Seville to attend Europe's number one fashion footwear trade show. Although they had only spent a few days together, it did not occur to him that he would go without Mimsie and they spent their fourth night together on a long-haul flight to Madrid.
That week was the happiest of each of their lives, breakfasting on chops and eggs, checking out the shoe stalls, drinking mojitos and then back to the hotel for the sacrament. The Latin word 'sacramentum' literally means 'make sacred', a rite that mediates divine grace, and they both realised that they had gone some way beyond fucking towards an almost holy experience.
At the end of the week they tore up the return tickets, drove their hire car out into rural Extremadura and rented a villa overlooking the Valle del Sol. They may well remain there.

This is really something! Love the Isley Bros, Elvis, JDG and Petula tracks as well as the accompanying travelogue. Well done!

I think I'd be content having the Isleys-Lucien-Lincoln stretch on a continuous loop for the next 50 years. Perhaps with this thrown in during leap years.

It's an on the edge mix. It doesn't really appear like one, but it is. And that is good.

Lovely stuff all the way - especially the trio Orchid named (although personally I'd probably extend it to include that wonderful Simon Diaz track) & Cilla...and the double Mack attack near the end. Nice!

Okay, I missed this one...and, I am ashamed. Popi Asteriadi with Lakis Pappas, Luis Bacalov, Abbey Lincoln, Jackie DeShannon and Bobby Brown!!!! This has a similar feel of another mixer, whom I have great deal of admiration (and, who's name I shant divulge), so MUCH kudos to you for that, this mix...and to me, as I will be downloading this IMMEDIATELY!!!

who the hell is responsible for putting "Clouds Across the Moon" on this mix. Mimsie!? Hoyt!? I picked up that 7" in some record store in Munich, Germany when I was 16 and I haven't had a day of regret about it since. "a boo, a bee, a boww...," is about all I can say. I think I'm in trouble if I don't get to hear this mix soon, and what I mean by that is real soon.

Howdy, Bohannons. This mix is fine and good as chops and eggs.
