"I long for the touch of your lips. dear, but much more for the touch of your whips, dear" ahh, I do so love Prof. Tom. Nice Waits, Louis and Penguin Cafe picks also. I'm liking this series alot, Barry.

Oh yes, it's the all new SEXY BarryDali. I knew this guy who could Tango alone -- oh the agony. I am a very poor Tango'er, however, I prefer The Strand -- a fabulous creation, it was once a new sensation...

Very nice. I just used a different version of the Louis Armstrong track.

The sad ommission of Alma Cogan's 'Never Do A Tango With An Eskimo' aside this looks pretty damn perfect. Know a few, don't know more. I reckon I'll be dancin' around my front room to this mix very soon...

the 1-2 punch of barry's return is certainly working its charm rather quickly -- wonderful tunes here

As they say, it takes 22 to tango. Tanya's is a kind of haunting one. Nice work Brother Barry.

I love watching the Tango when performed, but it's not been my favorite to listen to, when it's up against the samba or the rhumba, for example. but you've turned my mind in the past, and Mixxer says it's 'haunting.' very intrigued and will d/l tomorrow for a thorough listening.

report: yeah, it's great. it didn't occur to me that these wouldn't actually be tangos, not all of them anyway. my colleague Guerren liked this mix a lot too, and said so himself. my very favorites: Howe Gelb, Dustin O'Halloran, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, The Stranglers, Sunshine Ruby and that Jacques Brel-Pat Boone-The Crimea bit.

Ooh, this is delicious! And including the Aqua Velvets of all bands just goes to show how deep and wild your music tastes run. You're an inspiration, sir. Sorry I don't respond to your mixes very often (not that you're wanting for comments, of course), but rest assured it's not apathy or dislike. Needless to say, whenever I look at one I can guarantee that it will be fascinating in some way, and you always provide links to listen to them...I just don't find myself coming around to AOTM as much lately, as I'm too engrossed either in finding new music on the internet or simply not having the time to use it at all. Sorry. Maybe someday I'll go through your whole database and write about each entry. They all deserve some words, every single one. Anyway, I don't suppose you're taking requests, but if you ever pick up this "are ye dancin'" series again, might I submit calypso as your next venture? It's one of my greater pleasures in life, but I'm still not very familiar with it (beyond Harry Belafonte and a few others). Just an idea, as if you'd ever lack them yourself ;)
