Comment:

A Christmas/New Year mix in the loosest sense. A few songs that feel like a damn good party, a bit of reflection, a lullabye and the occasional nod to the festive season itself.

Thank's so much guys for all your support in what has been a nightmare year for me. I can't wait for '08!

Happy Holidays xx

Audio forthcoming very soon ;)

Update: Audio has landed. Dig in.

Another fine mix from one of AotM's finest contributors. Again, glad to see you back (twice in a week?!?) and all the best to you this holiday season and in '08.

i've been meaning to e-mail you recently, barry boy, but due to the festive season i've been slogged down with work & family & such. toss me an e-mail whenever you get the chance though. as for the mix, that vaselines track is one of my all-time favs, & i love the pipettes & bright eyes pairing. everything else looks super cool too

Well top of the season to you Barry! I vote for the Pipettes for President. And clearly track 17 is a continuation of your footwear theme.
All the best in 2008.

Did I mention yet how great it is to see you back? Surely not with the appropriate emphasis, anyway. This looks like yet another great mix, containing my favourite Bright Eyes (granted, this isn't particularly high praise coming from me in itself, but I really do dig this song quite a bit). Other highlights include the Capstan Shafts, Mr Bathgate and undoubtedly a few excellent new discoveries I'm going to make when I dig in.

Who are these Zipps? I need them for my Z mix. If Moe approves of them they can't be bad. Great to see Eileen feature. Have a great xmas and I hope 2008 is a better year for you.

Rob Conroy said best what's also on my mind. still trying to catch up on all the glorious mixes I've been missing over the holidays. loved the twist given to the songs at either end of your mix, Barry. Dead Milkmen and Vaselines opened the doors to let the memories come flooding in. Also really loved that Johnny Boy track. hope the new year is ten times better for you than 2007, my friend.

Right on. Great Cornershop track, it's got special memories for me that one (sitting on the train from Liverpool to the west country and feeling better...)
