Comment:

Warning: Will Damage At High Volume! This could very well be the best mix I've ever created. And, having said that...a little explanation is necessary: - First, I have begun utilizing a new DJ Mixing Software Package, which allows for crossfades, beat-matching, volume and equalization edits, etc...and it's opened up a whole new world of possibilities. - Second, it's hard to go wrong with the tracks presented, here. It mixes a bit of Illbient, Ambient Dub, Underground Rap and Grime into a healthy dose of Dubstep. - Third, I blended clips throughout this mix from The Ghost Orchid - An Introduction to EVP release. This adds a certain dark hue to the whole affair. The intention was to create another installment of the Menace Series, but I just can't bring myself to alter the Mix Title in any way. - And, lastly, this mix was created so as to provide an ideal soundtrack for driving in and out of the city (NYC, specifically...though London is the long-term goal). And, as such, it delivers quite admirably.Regardless...my hope is to bring a little something different to the AoTM Community. And...maybe...blow a speaker or two. ;)THOOOOOM!!!!!

Somebody has been tinkering in the l@bs... Don't know a thing here but I think I get it. Great work.
What mixing software are you using?

This looks very, very intriguing. Fortunately for my speakers, I still can't rock that megaupload site, so I'll just take your word for it. Great title, too - no need to bring yourself to change it.

(scrap the middle half of that last comment, I managed to get it to work after all, it's downloading right now. The speakers are already trembling in terror!)

i'm with the others -- intriguing idea, & as i don't know much here, i can surely give an educated guess that, given your past endeavors, the execution is fabulous. i'm going to check this one out ASAP...

Something different you say? You've managed that as always. Downloading now and licking my lips.

Mixmeister Express 6...but, I do believe I am ready to upgrade to the more advance package which has a few more bells and a couple more whistles.

Well, if it means death for speakers, do I dare pass it through headphones? (of course I dare!)

Yep, the "big" version of mixmaster has some additions that make it worth the price. Works great on 'dance' but sometimes beatmatching is an art in itself. I DO like the "key" matching, however. Cool mix!

I put this one on at work. I'm pleased to report that, as a unit, the office accomplished 28% more while this was playing than on any other typical workday. nicely done, musicgnome.

Holy shit, dude. Mindblowing is definitely the word. I've been indulging in some of Chatham County's finest gr33n3ry tonight and this fits in quite nicely.

I put this one on at work, and everyone quit an hour later. Not sure if the mix had anything to do with it, but you never know. Think I'll light up with Shawn and enjoy the show.

Seriously dark. I used to enjoy this kind of stuff when I was younger but I've wimped out now. Looks amazing.

This could very well be the best mix I've ever created... Crikey, now that's saying something. I'm downloading this now and will listen to it during the " Boring Bits" of the Oscars. More than once I reckon. This looks wonderful Chris. I'm all for something out of the ordinary...

Absolutely superb! A great set from start to finish. From my own experience, it's very liberating when you get your hands on a decent bit of audio software; you'll become intimate with devil in the detail (and just a little bit obsessively nerdy too ;) )

Downloaded this last week, and I'm still thoroughly enjoying this mix. The sequencing is top notch... the whole feel of the mix really hits that down-tempo vibe.

Thanks for the download linkage to this awesome mix. I've been seriously lacking in mixes with this kind of mood. I envy those who have mixing software!

Thanks so much for the comment. I'm more than willing to trade mixes, you certainly have tons of great ones to choose from. I'm not familliar with anything on this mix in particular, but am intrigued by the mixing software of which you speak.
