Evensong
Comment:
A companion piece to Birdsong posted last week. This week it's the guy's turn to get mellow and again all tracks are taken from 2007 releases. I think it came out well though I had to make some painful omissions by the likes of Hotel Alexis, Dakota Suite, Greg Ashley, and David Kilgour. I would be most obliged if you could lend it your educated ear.Feedback:
Dunno whether I'd call me lug holes educated but I'm lookin' forward to giving this a spin Barry. Love the opener together with 3,12 & 18 but then I'm in unknown territory.
Thee, Stranded Horse making two AotM appearances in less than 24 hours! That gives me faith in the world. This mix looks so fantastic that I'll forgive you the Hotel Alexis omission ;) I'll be certain to lend this my dilettante ear.
Only know Andrew Bird, Elvis Perkins and Great Lakes Swimmers but that's more than enough to pique my interest.
6,7,9 & 18 have been heard by these ears and I think I need to hear the rest.
?
looks very intresting
Looks wonderful - I bow to your acoustic excellence and this, as you know, is very much my kind of mix! Great Lake Swimmers - gorgeous. Andrew Bird - gorgeous. Definitely hopping on the download for this.
& lend it, i will -- i can't wait to sink my teeth (or rather, my ears) into this...not much that i know, but it looks very interesting to say the least.
I know not a track, but I'll surely have a listen...
There isn't EVEN one SONG that I know. But it feels wonderful.
Many names ring bells but not tunes. I'm sure this'll be as lovely as its companion mix, for which I check my inbox for the single-track downloads on a near-hourly basis! ; )
Wow. Great listen.
Looking forward to checking this out. The only thing I've heard already is the Cloud Cult.
listened at work just now, and I have to say that it really pisses me off when my mix-listening is interrupted by things like phone calls, questions from colleagues, people informing me about trouble with the printer.... so I will be giving this a private listen at home. but I do know this: tracks one/two/three are some of the most beautiful things I've heard, as are Great Lake Swimmers, Memphis and Hayward Williams. lovely work again, Barry.
...and I like the looks of that old piano.
Yeah, I love ALL your mixes mate, but especially your acoustic ones. 'How To Grow A Woman..' from last year still gets regular airplay at Chez Sammy. And I reckon this & Birdsong will also..
Nice one Barrydali..!
I also love acoustic mixes, great job Barry.
A link for Birdsong would be greatly appreciated.
