Comment:
On a cool bright morning, Hoyt and Mimsie decided to take a drive out to the Crystal Palace, only to discover on arrival that the palace itself had burned to the ground many years before, a towering inferno that had lit up the London sky one night in 1936. On the the advice of a local eccentric, they walked up to Sydenham Hill Woods, past the house where John Logie Baird first played with cathode rays, and the school where Raymond Chandler wrote his first story.Very soon they were deep in the woods, sunlight filtering through the silent canopy. Mimsie remarked that for the first time since their arrival in London she could hear no traffic noise, only the trill of birdsong and the crack of twigs as Hoyt bent to pick some mushrooms. They necked a handful each without comment, washing down the earthy crop with a flask of Dalwhinnie.
They wandered on through the trees as the minutes quickened and the light sharpened, green and green and the most golden yellow light that Mimsie had ever seen. They rolled and laughed through the undergrowth, and their tongues were grass-snakes slithering over one another, and they were lit from within, illuminated. They became the forest, that was quite, quite evident to both of them and this made them laugh even more and now they could see the past and the future synchronised, itemised, and paralysed and, oh dearie me, they had to sit down for a minute because it was all just a little too much.
So they sat there and held each other until the illuminations finally dimmed and they tumbled back towards mortal toil. At last they stood up, erectus et sapiens et sanctus, and there was no end to what they could do, no limit to the wonders they would realise, if they could first remember where they had left their car.

Great notes, even better mix.
An Acnalbasac experience. Divine flower.
Exactly what ofthaltned said. This looks essential.
this mix is really nice, perfect even. tons of favorites [20|17|18|5|1|7|22|2] and Jacki Sorensen's "Ventura Highway" not only worked my hamstrings, but I was laughing so hard I missed a phone call. terrific stuff. Kick 6...Sunshine!
I'm with tornadoZ on the Sorensen, it brought my office to a standstill. Great notes once again.
What a great listen. Twelve onwards is aces.

Quite simply, wow. I love the Cope -> Zombies -> Tindersticks bit and the whole thing seems so...alive. Great notes too!
Man that Slapp Happy through Queen bit is swell. Not a bad mix fer a coupla country bumpkins.
My current favorites are 11 & 20. And Hoyt you already know how I feel about track 8 (don't tell Mimsie).
The nominees are 3,4,9 and 10 and the winner is.....well, that's a secret, baby!
15-17 & 21 do it for me. And OK tk7 as well if I'm being honest. Great opener too!
Magic! (Although that Queen track - an unavoidable requisite from my youth - has been bouncing around my head ever since I listened)
Ah, fab - shiny shiny good things...
Still stunning.
