Comment:
From 2003. The usual suspects that show up on my mixes: Billie, Van, Bonnie, Emmylou. And even more questionable than Brian Kennedy is Dan Fogelberg. I don't know where I got this cut and I grimace now that I included it, because if it were any sappier, your teeth would rot from imagining it. Redeemed somewhat by the later Emmy cut which is so beautiful, no matter who sings it. Love it. And where are (is?) Sam and Dave in our lives. Doesn't everyone remember them? They were so fun and great! Anyway, a nice continuation of this theme. The Percy Sledge is a classic also. And I am ready to pogo at the crashing first notes of the opener.Feedback:
Clever idea, great selections.
it's funny - doesn't seem like it should work on paper, but it does. there's a real thread through these songs.
5 - 8 is right up my street.
Nice theme and execution.
Ooh, I remember liking that Dan Fogelberg song when I was 10... ;-) Another cool romp.
I know this is good
I like the theme and you did really well with it. I love that Bonnie Raitt track
i echo sean's comment -- this works real well, despite the odds. another winner...
Know, know, know? Yes, yes, yes!
Special props for the Sam & Dave and the Kim Richey.

Very nice. I especially like that Peggy thru Lady Day stretch towards the front end.
