Comment:
FROM 12/13/02. Another from that high (or at least drunken) romantic period which surfaced out of my CD pile recently. I suppose there is no hiding that I am a sentimentalist. Lots of fun standards here (Kay Starr, Dinah Shore, Betty Hutton) as well as funk in three flavors (Parliament, Haggard, and Raitt). The Raitt tune especially cooks with Bonnie and Roy Rogers tearing it up. Mary Margaret O'Hara (sister of actor Catherine) is a find if you haven't found her yet. The Dylan take on Let It Be Me, is just this side of awful, but manages still somehow to be sweetly compelling. And Marvin says it all, no?Feedback:
Another winner!
i feel like listening to this on a summer day and drinking whiskey.
Very nice.
Er, I love that Dylan track (as well as the rest of the Self Portrait period). This is a sweet mix.
what misfit said, exactly: another winner
Anything by Dylan is, "Just this side of awful," to me but yikes I own it! - Sally, you spoke French, I love it when you speak French - in the immortal words of Gomez hee hee. like the look of this one Sally.
nice
Those last four are some of the finest songs I've ever heard. Brilliant stuff throughout though..
They're all so good I can't even pick a favorite.-Good mix to sit back, have a glass of wine and chill with that special someone.
wow - sweet.
Nice . . . I like that this "digs deep" to showcase some sirens from way back.
Very nice. So much to like here.
