Comment:
Perhaps one of my more introspective mixes of all time. The idea is supposed to be sort of a romantic look back at early childhood, if I could remember more of it. All of these songs, for one reason or another evoke in me a deep longing to return to that period in life; where you are sure that you were protected and wrapped up in that unique love that exists between a caring mother and her young son. It's hard to say where the inspiration for this came from, I guess the point of the mix is that I can't really find words to describe this feeling/mood, so the mix is supposed to create it.
It's full of those memories from early childhood that you can only remember a tiny detail about, the smell of a flower that reminds you of your childhood but you can't remember exactly in what way, your perception of nature and god, the way the red fades on an old littered bottle of coke lying on the brush along side the street that hasn't been picked up.
