Sunscreen & Riesling
Comment:
Old favourites and new, meet up in the Irish sunshine to spend a lazy bank holiday in the garden. I enjoyed myself, I hope someone else does...Feedback:
Sunscreen & St.Emilion if you don't mind good sir! Can't fault the first 10, thereafter ain't too shabby either.
I haven't heard many of your new favourites yet, but I'm with you all the way on the old ones, the Phil Ochs and Little Wings in particular. In favour of the Riesling, too. The sunscreen I'm not so sure about - mine does claim to be "edible" on the packaging, but somehow I've never felt like taking it up on that. But perhaps you weren't suggesting to eat it, anyway? Please clarify.
Since F.C. is the wine expert, I will have what he is having. This mix goes great with everything.
oh trust me, i'll enjoy this -- the love & kinks tracks are tops, but pretty much everything i know here looks terrific
Call me old fashioned but I'll have a beer thanks. I loved this mix Barry. Old favourites such as Love, Dr Dog, Marlena, Kinks and Mojave 3 ( one of my fave singles of the past couple of years ) alongside blinding new 'uns to me, the terrific opener, Woodpigeon, Richie Havens.. I love everything I hear from the High Dials, Beachwood Sparks & P:ano. Nice to see you embracing pure pop with Lucky Soul. But my absolute favourite from this box of delights? Space Hole. Bloody brilliant....
Looks smashing, Barry. I will join in the joy for the Mojave 3 track.

Nice all around but 14-16 is brilliant!
I def. enjoyed this. Track is wonderful, and that 14-20 stretch is perfection.
Love, Havens, Shaw and The Kinks are standouts making this all simply excellent.
I could have sworn that I commented on this . . . . sorry . . . Anyway looks excellent . . .5, 6, 7, 10 and (esp) 16 do it for me . . .
A fine combination and a terrific mix. Don't get em confused though.
this one got me drunk and gave me a farmer's tan. really like the opening two, #4, Lucky Soul, Marlena Shaw... but I have to agree with Sam that best of this bubbly bunch is the March Fourth Marching Band. brilliant!
How'd I miss this one?! Hard to ignore a mix that includes Love, Dr. Dog (just discovered them), Bikeride, The Kinks, Lucky Soul. Mojave 3 and loveable Ricky Wilde. Good stuff. Oh and thanks for the compliment on my last mix *blushes* I consider you one of the best as well :)
Beautiful! And tasty, too!!! Viva Dr. Dog! (Sean O'Hagan always goes with sunscreen.)
I really like this mix. I downloaded it and I think I'm going to sample some of the songs on a mix I've been working on. Light Green Leaves is incredible!!
