Comment:
This was designed as an essential collection of surf rock (greatest hits) with a few of my favorites sprinkled in there. It seemed appropriate to put Pulp Fiction samples in there too. Nothing fancy, but I like it.Feedback:
Dick Dale is probably the most underrated guitarist in the history of pop/rock/surf music. Ever see the commercial he did? It was fairly cool, and then THAT GUITAR came roaring in like a tsunami...nice to know us old pharts still got it.Well, DD does anyway!Love Link, Duane and the Ventures, too!
Cool. I made a mix called "Ride the Wild Surf".
very nice indeed!
Well Luke, let me follow up. I see that this is an early mix posted here and now I am SUPER impressed! Now that you've done the West Coast, maybe it's time for the Myrtle Beach sound?
Excellent stuff - check out my surf/instro mixes; you may dig 'em. Always good to see the Shadows - I loves me some Hank Marvin.
Some really good stuff here. Perhaps a bit heavy on Dick Dale and Pulp Fiction, but I can't really complain. Gets the adrenaline up just thinking about it...
can't go wrong with Surf Rock . . . . cool !
