So, a friend of mine is going on her first plane trip. She is off to Russia and thought it may be a good idea to go on a shorter flight before hand, which makes sense to me. So I thought I would make her a mix of plane/flying related songs! Here are my reasons...
1- Slightly bad view on flying...but flying nonetheless.
2.Cheesy, I know, but whats a mix without some chee-eeeze.
3. A standard.
4. No Brainer.
5. I nice gospel touch to "flying away" hopefully not while on the plane.
6. You knew it was coming.
7. Indie greatness+aeroplanes= perfect song.
8. A great track from a band I only just got on the bandwagon of.
9. Sinatra or Bolton? Gee that was a tough one, or was it?
10. Nonsensical, yes. Appropriate, not really. A great song, undeniable.
11. Ahh Rivers at his best, She lives along way away from me, and well I find this song somewhat fitting, minus the cello-playing Japanese girl.
12. Again a bit mushy...waving from such great heights etc.
13. Seeing as this cd was about Airplanes, this is my fave track off- Something About Airplanes
14.I watch the patchwork farms' slow fade into the ocean's arms
Calm down, release your cares.The stale taste of recycled air... an apt view of travel for the first timer.
15. And finally maybe a strange track to finish with, but I love the lines- "but the airport's always almost empty this time of the year,
so let's go play on a baggage carousel.
Set our watches forward like we're just arriving here
from a past we left in a place we knew too well." awesome.

There were a million other flying songs I coulda put on here, but I like my mix, I actually like most of the songs on here! safe travels.
