Comment:

These songs all have a few key things in common... They all feature strong melodies, beautiful arrangements... and most of them never exactly shot up to the top of the charts. This is pure pop, not the country, R&B, emo or adult alternative that seems to pass for pop music these days.

i think most of us on aotm have long ago given up on paying any attention to the 'top of the charts' as any barometer of quality - at least in north america, tho i sadly suspect that the same would be said in other realms.

i don't know enough of the artists on your mix, so i can't say whether you've achieved your objective, but your title was good enough for me to give it a gander.

This seems very nice. Putting Rufus on a mix automatically means 5 stars from me. Death Cab and Spektor makes it all the more wonderful. Incidentally, I just put the last two tracks on a summer mix I've been working on.

Ding Dong, we have a mix! This is great. I love the title ( although the PB&J track does feature her out of dem Concretes, but I'll let that go ). Every track here is pure pop goodiness, and for that you get Five Stars....:)

At least half this album is comprised of five star songs.
