Comment:
This one just came out of the blue (but not really the blues) one day at work. Just sat down and worked it out. And it is a little strange here and there, most notably the Papa M song. Still getting used to it, but there you go.Feedback:
i must admit: i'm a sucker for a good sad song, & this definitely hits the spot - the emmylou harris, ryan adams, mag fields, bob dylan & merle haggard are top notch especially.
I love this. A real pick-me-upper!
Love it especially the Jackson Browne track.
Spreading cheer wherever they go. ;-)
Y'know - I'd really love to hear this now. Anything I can trade ya for it (once I'm settled, of course)?
I'm a sucker for a saddie too . . . what a great way to do a mix tho, at work ! way to go Sally . . . !
Very cool. Sad songs is my favorite genre.
Great stuff. Love the Dylan/Rickie Lee/Mag Fields run especially.
Ah les joies et les peines. I feel nothing but sorrow every time I hear the dreadful voice of Cilla Black. The rest is sweet sorrow though!
This is the bees knees! M. Ward Sad Sad Song may have fitted although on reflection it's a bit of a misnomer as I find it to be quite uplifting meself. Anyway, love the Papa M, Alasdair, and Po' Girl especially.
Elton John was right. Those sad songs say so much. I only know a few songs here, but that Magnetic Fields is excellent -- even if it has a rather upbeat melody.
Lots of wonderfully sad picks. Particularly like the Cry, Cry, Cry, Po' Girl & Emmylou.
Track #14!
Nice. That "little strange" quality is one of my favorite things about this mix.
Boo-Hoo-wah!!!! Cry me a river of fantastic tunes, I say. Or, said?Either way, great stuff. And, BY WAY OF SORROW by CRY, CRY, CRY!? How unbelievably appropriate.
well done indeed!
looking sad but sounding great
