(31) Ralph Flanagan - Hot Toddy

When I send the time machine back into the twentieth century, I generally try to sail right past the 1950's, unless I can find an island of rockabilly or some such. I think it's fair to say that the white-bread Pop music of the Eisenhower years was generally over-orchestrated, over-emphasized, over-blown, & simple-minded. BUT, - catchy!
Maybe that's why this mix was greeted with shudders & shakes by some of my friends; once you let some of these "ear worms" get into your head, they're not going to go away for days - if ever.

Feedback:
wow, now this is a collection !I had 'magic moments' stuck in my head for years back in the 80s. Don't do it to me again, please !
gimme the 60's anyday, but there's tons of favorites & catchy tunes here to get me tapping my feet - good stuff
i was born in the fifties but you can't make me go back. i'm with the shudders and shakes crowd.
I did not know that Dick Van Dyke could sing - or should I not leap to conclusions?
What is that machine in the picture?
Definitely been awhile since I've the Hokey Pokey. the Bunny Hop and I've Got a Loveley Bunch of Coconuts on a mix. This looks really great on paper but I'ld be waiting for a Wedding to break out.
Classic.
I like it.
The best thing about being born in 1954 was at the age of 10 when I was ready to appreciated music, the British invasion, Motown and Dylan were all over the radio. I do like Perry Como.
Wonderful Mr de vivre, especially that 10-15 segment. And I've always been a fan of tk18!
This isn't all my mega cup of tea, but it does look fun.
This is wonderful Joey, perfect for sitting in front of the fire with a pipe and a hound dog curled up at your feet.
A magical history tour of the 50s. Looks great! You're making it harder to pick one mix for our impending trade.
I'm with you on what you say - but it does look fun!
I need thicker glasses, no wait I just need glasses. Nearly missed this retro bop. I now see she is a peach.
Jimmy Durante was the Jimi Hendrix of the 50s.
Looks like a blast, 5 stars all the way
