Why is the alphabet in the order that it is? I started this series at the letter U as it's more challenging to look for artists beginning with the least used vowel. As I discovered there are not many great artists beginning with U but I finished with arguably the best,Undertones.If I've missed out any essential artists do tell me. Yes, I know I forgot the United States Of America.Feedback:
Well there is an obscure Irish band called U2. Perhaps you've heard of them ;) But seriously, U guys have unearthed some great U-tunes. Unrest. Unun. Undertones. UVS. Ultrasport. Some other possibilities (but perhaps not essential): UB40, Uncle Wiggly and the U.K. Subs.
I was prepared for the U2 riposte.I took great pleasure in ignoring them finding their bombast and self righteousness the ultimate annoyance.I can't deny owning three or four of their early singles,one day I may even play them again.I did consider UB40 but they never made the final cut.
The Upsetters might fit in somewhere perhaps? Looks great!
Any mix that starts with Unun's lost classic 'I See Red' has my full attention. Some fine picks here, and a few bands I've never heardof. Oh, and U2 don't desreve to be mentioned in the same breath as Urusei Yatsura, some I'm happy they weren't included....

What?!? No URIAH HEEP?!? (kidding, kidding) This looks cool. I'd definitely include tracks by the Urinals and the Upsetters on my version of this...
Oh yeah, and Uncle Tupelo, as well.
I've been looking for the Urinals for a while.....er what I mean is I've been meaning to get some of their stuff,got outbid on a couple of reissues on ebay recently.
